Pagoda Money is about Loc (a votive goods tycoon, a father who had a poor past and earned money from bad deeds) and Quyen (a gentle girl who works as a saleswoman at a flower shop).
Based on such a main story, Tien Pagoda tells three stories at the same time: Loc’s journey to find a truly solid foundation for his career and life;
It seems that the humor in Khuong Ngoc’s acting, the harsh tone of Phuong Anh Tent, the tomato throwing scenes performed by Van Trang and a lot of dog feces are not enough, so the director still insists
However, Tien Pagoda avoids many of the funny elements that are common on television (although of course it still resorts to using chubby actors or exploiting Hieu Hien’s height) and exploits Hieu Hien’s height.
Although the makeup artist could not create a gentle, discreet and somewhat classic Quyen face, the image in the film was quite reasonable, contributing to expressing the character’s personality.
Pagoda money may be fiercely contested this October when not only The Stiletto Shoe Conspiracy is released but a series of highly rated Hollywood films also enter Vietnamese theaters.
